“The media will have a special responsibility once organized religions and sympathizers have succeeded in mobilizing hundreds of thousands, millions of people behind this charter. Once we have shown that religion and faith and spirituality is very much alive and powerful and in touch with the world of today, we should ask people working in the media to step back a little from what has been accomplished through secularization and look at the whole picture again, and spread the word on what inspires those millions, how organized belief is able to mobilize. Work together on our common goals, and unite.”

“All great Spiritual Leaders have followed their own authentic path in life. They have followed their passion and taught others how to follow their own. By the Nature of Attraction, we can only follow our own passion when we allow others to follow theirs. Compassion is sharing the passion for my path with another who is sharing their passion for their path. Follow your own path with compassion and allow others to follow their path with equal compassion.”

“It is our charge and our challenge as people of faith to understand that everyone is deserving of our compassion; there is not a group, nor a single individual, who is not. The scriptures speak of treating the foreigner as if he/she was a member of our own people; of bowing before strangers as if they were gods or kings; of loving even our enemies, and extending our compassion where there is no hope of any return. Our concern must be for the welfare of all and the comfort of each, even those whom others might regard as the least.”

“All the traditions insist that it is not sufficient to confine benevolence to one’s own group; we must have concern for everybody. Compassion recognises that the demonstration of our humanity lies in our relationships with others. We are defined by our day-to-day interactions with and attitudes to every person we meet and don’t meet. By embracing a compassionate way of life we are capable of loving even our enemies, and extending our compassion where there is no hope of any return.”
