Vajra Dakini Nunnery

Imagine a place where peace is possible in an environment of wisdom and compassion. Imagine a "Compassion College" where one can study and practice ways of peace based on 2,500 years of Buddhist wisdom and a lineage of highly realized teachers—all with an engaged commitment to benefit the world.

This is the vision of the first Buddhist nunnery in North America, established in 2004 in Lincoln, Vermont, under the auspices of the Drikung Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism.

May all mother sentient beings have happiness and be free from suffering

Vajra Dakini Nunnery is a contemplative residential community of nuns and a place of training and practice for aspiring monastics and lay practitioners, men and women, old and young.

Vajra Dakini Nunnery provides spiritual programs and retreats for the public. Our nuns are always available for prayer requests for your family and friends.
