#123 3 find this inspirational

This isn’t mine, but my friends Alex and Tia’s. On their wedding day, Alex and Tia handed us each a pair of Adenium seeds to care for and nurture. What they asked us to do with these plants, I believe, will grow toward humans, too.

My Inspiration (7)

#223 An older woman that I didn’t know passed by me at the mall and said “what a beautiful smile you have” and kept on walking.  I felt uplifted for the rest of the day. I still think about how wonderful her words felt to this day….and that was over 4 years ago!!!!  .

#206 When changing lanes on the freeway, I put on my blinker then slow down so that the car in the next lane may pass before I merge.  I know people can feel a strong need to stay ahead of a passing car; I let that go and simply let them go ahead.  There’s no battle, no stress, we’re both happy and safe.

#146 This month, I made (not buy) four cards, sent them to my dad in Indonesia who celebrate his 59th birthday, my sister in CA who’s in distress, a very sweet old couple in church who moved out to another state, an autistic friend who is very inspiring and celebrated his 29th birthday. :)

#135 My friend was a doctor in Zambia working on AIDS.  He came home with an idea:  Link U.S. communities with Zambian caretakers of orphans so the children could go to school.  I joined him and others to form Communities Without Borders. Now we are providing education for more than 1100 children. View site »

#116 Ahimsa- Compassion for all living things is a lynchpin of my yoga practice. I have struggled to have compassion for my own past mistakes as my own worst critic and enemy. When I am more gentle to myself, I find it easier to exercise more understanding towards others.

#129 I am going to give a stranger a smile today. Pass it on. #compassion View tweet »

#108 As a Muslim studying Shria law, I couldn’t imagine that I would live with a Jewish host family in the UK for six weeks, sharing them their daily life and having my meals with them around one table, but I did it. people in Palestine, you can live together, you can do it, only with compassion !
