My Acts of Compassion (1)
#6 13 find this inspirational
While riding the tube, I witnessed a family go out of their way to escort an elderly woman, who had poor vision and didn’t speak English, from the train to her connecting line. Amidst such a massive crowd, it was heartwarming to see these strangers work to help her find her way.
My Inspiration (3)
#1028 Muslim -Christian conversations took place June 2010 in our church. Now together both faiths groups feed the homeless in downtown and are sharing Ramadan and Christmas this year and every year!
#788 We set up a fundraising website to benefit an organization (Soles4Souls)which has commited to sending 100,000 pairs of shoes as well as other needed supplies to the victims of the Haiti Erathquake. A portion of the funds raised will also benefit our local Domestic Violence Center. View site »
#568 I bought some fried chicken for my neighbourhood guards and chatted with one of them. He told me something that his family didnt know. He was secretly raising and financing a child because she was orphaned by her drug addict parents. It’s amazing how ppl would open up and share when you care enough.
