Celebrate and share the Charter for Compassion locally.
Participate in an Event
People around the world are organizing events, large and small, to celebrate the Charter and its message of compassion. Event types include concerts, art fairs, writing competitions, lectures, debates, town halls, public readings and much more.
Can't find an event in your area? Inspired to add an additional event in your town?
Here are some tips to get started:
- Find a local organization, house of worship, school, company or group of friends in your area with whom you can organize the event.
- Contact the organization, school, company, etc.
- Determine what kind of event you want to hold. Check out events already posted on the site for inspiration.
- Determine what day (or days) between Nov. 13–19 you want to hold your event. It is highly recommended that you hold your event within this period however it is not required.
- Create a core organizing team.
- Use an online event organizing site like Eventbrite or Facebook to help arrange the event.
- Post your event on the Charter for Compassion website.
- Document your event via photos and video to post on the Charter website.
