Are you talking to yourself a little more these days? More confused? Not believing what you are seeing? Holding back your thoughts? Wondering about what is going to happen with Brixit? Fearful of an arms buildup? Totally disbelieving that war continues in 2017? What position you should take to have your voice heard? Well, here is one of the lessons to heed from the Charter for Compassion:
The principle of compassion lies at the heart of all religious, ethical and spiritual traditions, calling us always to treat all others as we wish to be treated ourselves. Compassion impels us to work tirelessly to alleviate the suffering of our fellow creatures, to dethrone ourselves from the centre of our world and put another there, and to honour the inviolable sanctity of every single human being, treating everybody, without exception, with absolute justice, equity and respect.
Here is another thoughtful expression from a Danish ad that demonstrates clearly that we have more in common that we normally anticipate when getting to know others. It posits that there are far more reason to knock down barriers and open up new avenues of community. Please

sanctity of every human being in our midst.
A Special Welcome to New Charter for Compassion Communities and Partners
It's been a busy two months in this new year. We've been working with potential new communities globally and welcoming new partners whose primary work is to help network with one another within their sector and across the Charter generally and most directly with compassionate community initiatives. If you are a resident of one of the cities and want to be involved with your community's initiatives,
let us know. We'll put you in touch with the organizing team. Check out our new partners, click on their name and visit each of their homepages on the Charter website.

Desparate Times Call for Desparate Action
We continue to ask for your help because we want to make a difference in the world and the difference we are making is because of your involvement. That involvement is about you talking about the Charter with others, working on compassionate city efforts, or working with one of our over 1600 partners to spread the word of the plight of refugees, climate change, social injustice and hunger in our communities. We want to continue to create tools like the Charter Tool Box and the Islamophobia Guide Book. We have two more in formation: one on healthcare and another on a Social Justice Handbook. Your volunteering for the Charter is needed and very appreciated and your willingness to help financially is essential to our being able to pay monthly operating bills (about $3000 a month). Thank you for your consideration.
