Amin Hashwani
Amin Hashwani, the founder of Charter for Compassion Pakistan, is a businessman and a social activist. He founded and continues to support various social initiatives in the fields of education, health, youth development, culture, and peace. Internationally he has lead business delegations, organized cultural and media events, collaborated in peace building between nations and societies, spoken at universities, think tanks, and the United Nations.
He is/has been the President and/or Chairman of numerous business and non business organizations, including Pakistan India CEO’s Business Forum, Young Presidents’ Organization (Pakistan), Pakistan France Business Alliance, The Allama Iqbal Institute Of Research, Education and Dialogue, The Network of Organizations Working for People with Disability, and AIESEC, Pakistan.
He also co-founded the Peace Action Network, a group of CEOs undertaking initiatives to build bridges around the world (Middle East, South Asia, North America) between societies by using business networking platforms.
He has lead several delegations abroad, organized international events, moderated international forums, been a guest speaker at seminars in Asia, Europe, and the U.S, and championed social initiatives within and outside of Pakistan. He is the recipient of several national and international awards for his work, including an Honorary Doctorate.
