The Dalai Lama Centre for Compassion (DLCC) is a secular organisation under the patronage of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Since 2014 we have sought to create a kinder society and promote individual flourishing by advancing knowledge of compassion and giving people access to compassion-based learning. Our compassion education projects enhance children's and young people's well-being by providing a research-based, secular approach to social & emotional skills, ethics, and compassion. Our two compassion education projects, Compassion Matters and SEE Learning UK, include support for children, young people and educators to develop critical social and emotional skills to support their personal development, academic skills and community flourishing. This forum will explore the evidence base for compassion-focused approaches, current challenges and opportunities and future directions in education.
