Barbara Nahmias is a mixed media artist and art instructor living in Riverdale, New York.

She defines herself a a “latent lifelong artist” who blossomed creatively after retirement from a position at a major media company. Barbara works intuitively, letting each layer and brushstroke inform the next.

Her paintings express her love of the nature, her spirituality and her deep feelings about the injustices in our world. As a teacher, Barbara’s mission is to help awaken latent creativity in others and to create a container for personal growth through art.
