Ivan Perez Tejeda is a painter concerned with environmental issues and protection of the planet.
He lives in Oaxaca, Mexico. Ivan is indigenous, a descendant of Mazatecs and Aztecs.
His art includes symbolic connections to his heritage and to current planet changes due to pollution, climate change and deforestation. Ivan used to live in Greenfield, California and attended arts classes with the Arts Council for Monterey County.
He participated in many arts projects, including an exhibition at the Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts in San Francisco and San Luis Potosi Mexico at the Lobi de la Paz Theater. He is part of the Compassionate Arts in Action Environmental Campaign and an exhibiting artist in the Mother Earth: Fragile Planet Project.
