Birds have a different outlook regarding odd gifts.

For example, this Mourning Dove might expect that you’d be delighted with a twig. (Can you see the hopeful anticipation in its face?)

Of course, if you gave someone (i.e., a human) a twig as a gift, they might act disappointed – even if you put the twig in a big box with a bright ribbon.

Agreed, I’m speculating here. So if you try this and have a different experience, please let me know.
