Leaning Into 2017 With Fierce Compassion
On behalf of the Women and Girls Global Task Force I wish you a warm and joyous New Year.
The Mission of this sector "is to provide a platform that would enable and foster the partnerships of our Charter Partners who encounter and advocate on all issues, such as those related to gender equality, education, feminine leadership, and spirituality. All who explore creative solutions that contribute to promoting the creation of a balanced and peaceful global community are embraced and supported. With our Partners, we aim to co-create healing one heart at a time for swift and regenerative change of our communities and world.
2017 has already promised us opportunities for fierce compassion. We hope you will share with us your programs, initiatives and successes. Please frequent our Facebook and Twitter pages. It's a great way to connect with other Women and Girls Charter Partners and let us know what you are up to. Have you participated in the Faces of Compassion campaign? If you have a Twitter page, it's a great way to contribute to a global picture and support the Charter.
The political climate in the world has been a call to action for so many of us. Please take a moment and let us know what you are inspired to accomplish in 2017 and how we can help you achieve your goals through our network. HERE
On January 21st, Million Women Marches will be held all around the world. Charter Partner SARAH is hosting a list where you can find a march near you. If you are marching and interested in carrying a banner/sign to represent the Charter for Compassion Women and Girls, please let us know and we will send you the art work. You will find that list HERE
OFFICIAL STATEMENT, National Organizers" In the spirit of democracy and honoring the champions of human rights, dignity, and justice who have come before us, we join in diversity to show our presence in numbers too great to ignore. The Women’s March on Washington will send a bold message to our new administration on their first day in office, and to the world that women’s rights are human rights. We stand together, recognizing that defending the most marginalized among us is defending all of us."
In February we will continue our quarterly webinar series. Stay tuned for information and date/time on our themed call about ending violence against women and girls. Is your work particularly focused on this topic? Please let us know.
Ambassadors are the most important layer of our leadership. Our Ambassadors have been developing some dynamic and exciting programming ideas which you will be hearing about soon. We have stretched the edges of feminine leadership by adding Millennial and Youth Ambassador programs. We encourage all Charter Partners and your colleagues to join us as an Ambassador. HERE's more information... Make sure to visit our social media pages to get regular updates and stay tuned for age appropriate Ambassador Applications.
In this year, may 2016 leave you empowered and focused to accomplish your goals and visions for 2017. May compassion be your driving force and reminder of why you chose the work you are doing, and know you are surrounded by like-hearted people who want to see you succeed.
In Service to Lady Compassion,
Sande Hart
