The Object of a New Year
The object of a new year is not that we should have a new year. It is that we should have a new soul. ~G.K. Chesterton
Dear, dear friends,
I could not let the year come to a close without thanking all of you for being a part of the Charter for Compassion. A few days ago, I asked if you would consider thinking about donating to the Charter. To date you have helped raise about ten percent of our annual budget. We now have a little fuel in the tank and aren't running on “fumes!" We even had a donation from a high school in Illinois who offered to build a house for a homeless family on behalf of the Charter. We’ve heard from people from Australia, Belgium, Canada, Hungary, India, Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Russia, Sweden, United Kingdom and the U.S.A.
For folks who are receiving this who haven't yet given, please consider making a donation before the end of the year to get us off to a strong start for 2017.
Thank you for being a part of our Charter family. We are reminded at this time of the year, as we reflect and consider the last months, we have hope that in January the world will be recreated.
With the kindest of regards,
Marilyn
