George Myers has a unique style of consulting with nonprofit organizations of any size. Drawing from 16 years of experience in nonprofit technical assistance and using his skills in Appreciative Inquiry and an asset-based approach, he will work to help you grow and change. Problems and challenges are not ignored: instead they will fall away as your strengths build and energy is channeled and focused towards your vision and goals.gmars Consulting can help strengthen your nonproft organization or ministry and specializes in three areas:
- Planning: Are you trying to create your first annual plan? Refine and set operational goals? Or are you ready for a three-year strategic plan? George uses the SOAR method (Strengths Opportunities Aspirations Results) rather than the outdated and energy-sapping SWOT analysis of the past.
- Organizational and Leadership Development: Does your board need to be more engaged, revitalized or is it overdue for training in the best standards of nonprofit governance? How do you want to grow your organizational capacity? Do you need to start or improve program evaluation to ensure that what you do really works?
- Fundraising: George can help your board and staff look at any facet of your resource development programs. He specializes in how to engage donors (or board members!) to build a diversified and sustainable development program.
gmars Consulting can also support you with community development, change management, hiring staff, expanding or merging your programs, managing volunteers and staff in new and creative ways. George uses process consultation, rather than an expert (“I have all the answers!”) method. And George will remain engaged to make sure you are well on your way reaching your goals.
