Gateway Partners
Gateway Development Centers are centers of the Gateway Partners Organization. It was established in 2012. We have centers in Mombasa, Voi, Isiolo and Embu.
We have been empowering poor/vulnerable people through providing participatory development services.
1.OVERALL GOAL
Vulnerable communities empowered to effectively address root cause of poverty and injustices for the attainment of sustainable livelihoods.

Gateway development centers vision is to be a leading development center that significantly contributes to holistic development of vulnerable people, for their attainment of social, economic fulfillment.

Gateway development centre mission is to uplift the social, economic and human conditions of the needy by facilitating them to realize their potentials through enhanced capacity.
4.OUR PROGRAMS
5.YOUTH
The main goal of the goal of the program is to holistically empower youth in Mombasa so that they can be self-reliant. The empowerment involves building their capacities to initiate and engage in constructive endeavors that will advance economically mentally and intellectually.
6.CHILD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
The program aims at strengthening the community's ability to address cases of child rights violation through improvement of quality of life of orphans and vulnerable children. Children are reached through community clubs, satellite schools and and public schools that are nearby. The centre is achieving this through provision of functional education, training, character formation, enhancing child participation and talent/skills development
7.NON-FORMAL EDUCATION
The aim of the program is to provide basic literary and numeracy skills to out of schools orphaned and vulnerable children between the age of 9-16yrs. We also expose them to vocational skills, life skills and the holistic development of the child.
8.ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM
The program's goal is to improve the income of Mombasa residents. We use the self-help group approach. This SHG approach targets the poorest of the poor, especially the YOUTH populace who are considered the most vulnerable.
9.INFORMATION EMPOWERMENT AND ADVOCACY
The program seeks to build the capacity of the community to enhance local democratic governance and uphold human rights. This increases the capacities of people to engage, influence, defend, protect, and demand for their rights from those who act on their behalf and make decisions that affect them. The program assists the community to identify their developmental needs and potentials and also initiate developmental activities to address these need
OVC SMALL COMMUNITY PROJECT
The program aims at building capacity to grass root organization (CBOs,FBOs,SHGs a and local NGOs) to ensure holistic sustainable care and support for orphans and vulnerable children. This is done through limited financial structures and systems development. The project reaches out to grass root organization all over Kenya.
10.TRAINING
This is a holistic approach in the training of students. In addition to their academic studies, students are trained in life skills and provided with guidance and counseling. We train them in developmental issues, social and capacity building.
