Justice & Integrity — Connections to the Other Pillars
Compassion is the ground of our work—and Justice & Integrity is how that compassion shows up in public life. This pillar helps every other pillar name harm, center dignity, and translate values into fair policy and practice. We do this by elevating the voices of those most impacted, addressing root causes (not just symptoms), and building accountable systems that repair, include, and protect.
Our shared commitments
- Intersectionality: We examine how race, gender, class, ability, faith, age, and place intersect—especially where social and environmental harms compound.
- Co-design with communities: Those closest to the pain help design the solutions.
- Equity in policy: We advocate for regulations, budgeting, and enforcement that serve the common good and are shaped by diverse communities.
- Earth Justice & Intersectional Environmentalism: We treat harm to people and harm to planet as inseparable—and confront how dominance and white supremacy have shaped environmental decisions.
- Education and accountability: We teach, measure, and report on progress, building cultures that prefer repair over punishment and transparency over performative statements.

What success looks like
- Policies and budgets co-created with impacted communities.
- Measurable reductions in disparities and environmental burdens.
- More restorative responses to harm in schools, agencies, and neighborhoods.
- Cross-pillar projects that move from awareness → accountability → repair.
Together, Justice & Integrity is the bridge across the pillars—turning compassion into equitable rules, restorative practices, and durable systems that allow people and planet to thrive.
