"I think the Gala would get a score of 100 on Rotten Tomatoes!" -S. Ripley Gala Goes On Giving! WOW! The Global Gala on November 20th was a stunning success - on all counts! It was a beautiful vehicle to honor seven amazing people and two loving organizations doing incredible work in the world. The Gala was inspirational, powerful, joyous, and filled with hope! It touched countless hearts and lives in countries all over the world. And it raised money for the Charter's programs. "I was privileged to attend the Charter's Gala and wish the entire world could have been so lucky! The entertainment was exceptional, the speeches humbling, and the messages of unity and kindness were inspirational. It was the Academy Awards for the heart and soul; a reminder of how connected we all are, and what a difference we can make if we can open our hearts to each other." -M. Stine NOW, the Global Gala will continue to send out its ripples of compassion through you and your networks. We offer everyone who is part of the Charter Family an opportunity to gift the Gala to loved ones. It will be a cherished gift that doesn't need to be wrapped or mailed, won't ever break, and will bring joy to all who watch it. I can't think of a better gift. "I want to congratulate you and the team for the beautiful Gala. I am getting many emails from all over the world about the Gala, people sharing how moved they were, how beautiful it was, how seamless the flow was, the messages and the music woven so beautifully together. It was so transformative. The stunning lineup was tremendous. Thank you." -Charter Board Member HOW: Until December 31, you may purchase the Global Gala to give to family and friends. It is easy. McDonald BOW of gratitude to everyone who was part of the Gala and who is part of the Charter for Compassion. We are a mighty force for the greater good, that is growing larger and stronger with each passing year. "We wish for a better world; one that is full of peace and love for each other and understanding. Compassion. We found our community [during the Gala] whose tireless and faithful work can bring us closer to this reality. We found a family in the Charter for Compassion." -D & G Lewis In gratitude, Susan Soleil Development Director

humankind - a hopeful history In next month's Global Read, international bestselling author Rutger Bregman provides new perspective on the past 200,000 years of human history, setting out to prove that we are hardwired for kindness, geared toward cooperation rather than competition, and more inclined to trust rather than distrust one another. In fact this instinct has a firm evolutionary basis going back to the beginning of Homo sapiens. December 15, 8am PT Donation or Free

TAKE ACTION Go to our TAKE ACTION page to find a variety of ways in which to interact with the Charter and some of our key strategic partners. The Charter for Compassion is essentially a movement with many different players; individuals, compassionate cities, partner organizations and coalitions of other organizations all coming together as one network. As a non-profit, the Charter relies on the generosity of its members and communities to continue to meet our mission of making compassion a clear, luminous, and dynamic force in our polarized world. Help us share our vision and work with your family, colleagues, neighbors, and organizations in which you are involved. Host a Charter Salon with friends and family, at home, with your faith community, or colleagues from work. We have everything you need: invitations, links to films, brochures, PowerPoints if you prefer, and even talking points. Contact Us and we’ll get back to you, follow up with an e-mail, call or Zoom meeting. We rely on people who believe in our mission to help touch the lives of those in local communities and across the world.
