Our website has been live for one week and after some early bumps in the road the site seems to be responding nicely. We are working on improving page-load time and hopefully you'll see some improvement in that direction over the next week or so. Thanks everyone for your patience, your good wishes, concerns, advice and gentle—much appreciated--critiques. For those of us who have worked on it, we are thrilled we are at this point.
There is a great deal of news to report about the Charter and we will make this newsletter short so we can publish one about the Parliament and the Charter's offerings during the week we will be in Salt Lake City. In the meantime we want to share some important items with you.

Charter Joins with Wisdom Circle at the Parliament of World Religions
Help build the Interfaith Exhibit space at the Parliament of World Religions! Support the exciting work of four organizations working together: CCI, Wisdom Circle, United Religions Initiative and North American Interfaith Network. Join our team as we come into the home stretch of completing our fund-raising efforts. Our goal is to raise funds that will cover the cost associated with producing the incredible exhibition space for the Parliament. This includes a professionally designed 900 sq. ft. space, that includes audio/visual presentations, lighting, tables for conversations, and a gathering space for interactive presentations. You are absolutely right, we ask for your support each time we put out a publication. Over 120,000 people hear this request if they read as far down in the newsletter as this. About 3000 folks have replied to our messages over the last 16 months that we have been asking for your help. We are most grateful because the Charter continues to be a "grassroots" organization that is primarily run by incredible community organizers and teams of people around the world. We have no official office space, the Charter owns no property (i.e., computers, copiers or telephones). Everything that we use belongs to those who are donating their time. So why do we need help? We just created a new education platform and helped pay for part of the new website (so it could be easily accessible on all devices), we maintain this site, plus maintain contracts for our conference calls. We respond to issues whenever we can that are critical to the action plans of our cities and communities. With your help we could do more. We are overwhelmed by requests (as many as 50 a day) and are thrilled with how the Charter is growing around the world. Just this week registrations came in from Carthage, Tunisia, Moscow, Russia, San Miguel de Tucuman in Argentina. What do we need next? A person to help us coordinate all of our community efforts. We built a Community Tool Box and now we need to make certain it is used to help all of our new organizers. We asked for help with the Institute and we feel confident that it will pay for itself in six months. Now, we would like to ask for help to get a communities coordinator. If you are a member, renew your membership or consider giving what you can on a monthly basis. It helps so much to have that assurance. Thanks to each of you for what you do.
