I have worked in the field of community services for many years across the board starting in aged care moving to disability services and then after gaining my Degree I have worked predominately within the Not for Profit sector. My roles have included Community Development, Community-based education, Parenting Education, Emergency relief and Outreach, Case management, Women's shelter casework, Domestic and Family Violence group work, homelessness and Family,Youth and Children's project work.
I have delivered both parenting programs and transition to school programs across numerous primary schools within the Northern Sydney region and both facilitated & co facilitated workshops for women leaving unhealthy relationships and domestic violence.
My spare time is usually spent reading and researching on the latest cutting edge options based in Neuroscience, Mindfulness and self compassion and Interpersonal Neurobiology.
I love connecting with individuals and believe in the power of connection and community. I value authenticity, honesty, and integrity and am resolute on delivering trauma-informed care and adhering to best practice standards.
I have been honoured to work alongside some passionate and skilled individuals within the sector but have often been frustrated at the lack of funding and time available to properly support and equip individuals to make the changes in their lives needed to move from surviving to thriving. This is why I have decided to dedicate myself to working outside of that system where I am able to dedicate so much more time and personalised services which are both research backed and evidence based to support individuals, families and in turn the wider community.
Serving individuals, family & communities through education and research backed, skill based workshops on how to foster resilience & bring meaningful change through options based in Neuroscience, Mindfulness and self compassion & Interpersonal Neurobiology. My greatest desire is to help others re-frame and re-imagine life full of hope and possibility.
