THE COMPASSION ANTHOLOGY
Charter Partner, The Compassion Anthology has just published it’s winter edition: www.compassionanthology.com. The Compassion Anthology includes compassion-based works of visual art, essays, stories, poems and video. They are interested in works about compassion in all its meanings, such as: kindness, courage, healing, forgiveness, mercy, hope, sacrifice, social justice, education, and empathy in human and/or animal interactions as well as environmental conservation (including nature writing) and interfaith dialogue. They are especially interested in works that feature mindfulness and meditation and how these instill compassionate tendencies. New work is published in the anthology every summer and winter.
WATERSTEP FOUNDATION STEPS UP TO HELP FLINT (YOU CAN TOO!)
Charter Partner, WaterStep Foundation trains people in developing countries how to use safe water solutions like water purification, health education, and well repair, empowering communities to take care of their own water needs for years. They believe that the best solutions to water problems are rooted in simple tools and effective training. Louisville continues to prove why it is a compassionate city. This month, they have partnered with people all around to raise money and collect shoes for the children of Flint, MI who were impacted by high levels of lead in their drinking water. Visit the WaterStep Foundation website and see how you can help with their global water projects and help the people of Flint, MI as well.

YOU GET BY WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM YOUR FRIENDS
Last week we told you we received a matching grant from a Charter for Compassion supporter for $5000. We have until the end of the month to raise $5000 from our members so that can match this grant. So far, with your help, we are at just over the half way mark. Can you help us get there? We'd appreciate it. Donate here and we even have some generous premiums offered by Karen Armstrong, Andrew Himes and our friends from Compassion It.
Also there are two other ways that you can help the Charter without giving directly to the Charter. The first is to go to welzoo.com and sign up to have Welzoo be your computer starting page. Welzoo will give up to $20 a year for each person who signs up and then uses Welzoo. It doesn't work if you don't use the page. There is a video to help get you started.
The second is with Amazon. Amazon donates 0.5% of the price of eligible Amazon purchases to the charitable organizations such as the Charter for Compassion International. Register here to help the Charter. Go to the page and write in Charter for Compassion International and each time you go to Amazon, type in this Url: www.smile.amazon.com.
