The Charter for Compassion invites passionate individuals, organizations, and leaders to submit proposals for the Compassionate Action: Transforming the World Together virtual conference. This event aims to unite voices across Arts, Business, Education, Environment, Gender Partnerships, Health, Peace, Restorative Justice, Interfaith Spirituality, Science and Research, Social Justice, and Social Services to inspire, educate, and foster meaningful global change.

This two-day virtual conference is a dynamic platform for sharing insights, collaborating on actionable ideas, and showcasing innovative projects that promote compassion, justice, and interconnectedness.

 

  





About the Charter for Compassion


The Charter for Compassion, crafted in 2009, is a globally recognized manifesto that advocates for the universal adoption of compassion as a fundamental value by people and religious groups worldwide. Translated into over 30 languages, it has garnered the support of over two million individuals.

The Charter is promoted by the International Charter for Compassion, which has successfully integrated the principles of the Charter into various sectors of society.

This organization has engaged close to 600 communities across 55 nations in its Compassionate Communities initiative and has collaborated with close to 3,000 organizations. These collaborations aim to infuse the Charter's principles into twelve distinct sectors: arts, business, education, environment, gender partnerships, health, peace, restorative justice, religious/spiritual/interfaith communities (RISE), science and research, social justice, and social services.
 

The Charter for Compassion is a thriving ecosystem of compassionate action as a force for change by:

  • Encouraging individuals to make personal commitments to live by the principles of the Golden Rule.
  • Promoting pioneering efforts in compassionate action.
  • Supporting the development of networks and their capacity for innovative, collaborative action.
  • Creating opportunities to learn and share experiences that help people shift from being isolated individuals, and groups to developing communities of practice and learning.
