Muda Center was founded in 2009 as part of the Sagol Neuroscience Center at the School of Psychology, IDC with a vision to promote the interface between science and contemplative traditions for the development of positive qualities of mind such as mindfulness, compassion, kindness, caring and forgiveness in Israeli society. The rationale behind it is that mental training that is informed by both neuroscience and contemplative traditions offers a unique, powerful and necessary foundation for human development.
Muda Center is developing and disseminating professional knowledge through training programs for educators and other professionals, conferences, professional workshops and publications. Our flagship programs are “Sfat Ha’Keshev” (The Language of Listening) for primary schools and nurseries and Mindfulness-based teacher training for adults (MBSR & MBCT).
We are constantly developing new programs, including, for example, classroom training for secondary schools, advances mindfulness training for psychotherapists and organizational work.
