Antioch University CE credits are acceptable in most states for recertification and most school districts for salary enhancement. Please check with your district human resources department to be assured of the acceptability of Antioch University CE credits.

Antioch University Seattle is accredited by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, 30 North La Salle St. #2400, Chicago IL 60602-2504. Antioch has held accreditation continuously since 1975. Antioch University is authorized by the Washington Higher Education Coordinating Board (HECB) and meets the requirements and minimum educational standards established for degree-granting institutions under the Degree Authorization Act.

CE quarter credits reflect the equivalent of 10 hours of classroom time and 20 hours of academic work outside the classroom. Three quarter credits are the equivalent of two semester credits. Continuing Education (CE) quarter credit are offered at the 400 level (upper division), and at the 500 level or postbaccalaureate.

Credits shown are for professional continuing education are not applicable to Antioch University academic degrees. CE credits are not guaranteed applicable for inclusion in degree programs from other institutions. Check with your degree program advisor to determine if these credits will qualify. We also recommend that you check with your state and district offices prior to registering for courses to confirm that Antioch University CE credits will apply.

Two kinds of distance courses are offered. In our basic distance course (Guided Independent Study) students communicate with their instructor and send assignments by email. In our online courses, designated by a computer symbol*, students complete their work using web-based forms.

Whether online or distance, all courses are self-paced, and may be registered for at any time.
