Following the lead of the larger community which formed the Powell River Compassionate Action Network (PR CAN) and officially signed the Charter of Compassion in June, 2012, all elementary schools in the district have now declared themselves to be compassionate schools.
During the week of compassion students around the district took the opportunity to sign this charter.
