Andrea Previtali
My name is Andrea Previtali, I’m 24 and I’m from Milan (IT). I’m graduating in Biomedical and Molecular Biology and I’m a self-taught trees artist. I developed my passion for trees and plants as a general topic during my bachelor in Biology and I decided to put my works on my Instagram account, named IllusTreetions. I like representing trees in a realistic way and also indicating the species for each of them. When trees are deciduous, I prefer to draw them bare, in their nudity, when their true structure isn’t covered by wonderful leaves and you can catch their real essence. Trees are better recognisable when they’re leafless and I love to see the art of nature expressed through the shapes of their branches. I started drawing in January 2021 and, from there, I tried to refine my technique by experimenting more ways to represent the shadings, the tridimensionality and the particulars of the trees.
