St. Augustine Compassionate Village in Florida, USA is looking for a new Executive Director!

Our Mission

Community, Connection, and Caring activate COMPASSION.

St. Augustine Compassionate Village (STACV), an initiative of the non-profit corporation Compassionate St. Augustine, is built to enhance the quality of life for residents of St. Augustine and portions of St. Johns County for members to live their lives to the fullest, aging in place in their own homes, as they grow older.

STACV is based on a proven model developed in 2002 by Beacon Hill Village in Boston and is a member of the Village to Village Network, part of the aging-in-place movement. STACV is the first village to be established as an intentional compassionate village, affirming the Charter for Compassion, encouraging members to avail themselves of local, regional, and international opportunities, aligning with and building on the Village and Compassionate movements.

STACV will offer its members social and cultural activities, local and global educational programs, household services, and home health support. Transportation and wellness opportunities will be some other available options, making it possible for STAVC members to be actively engaged in global initiatives and St. Augustine’s vibrant civic and cultural life as they age. Specific offerings will be determined by members’ interests and needs.

STACV will follow a business, membership model. The goal is to offer membership to people 55 and over who live in the initial footprint, with potential expansion into other St. Johns County neighborhoods.

The Executive Director will be supervised by the Chair(s) of the St. Augustine Compassionate Village Board.
