Loving Communities

Date: February 11, 2023

Communities are, without question, central to our human experience.

The goal of this discussion panel is to consider the value of creating and being part of a global community. This is a pre-recorded presentation of a discussion with Marilyn Turkovich, Charter for Compassion, Foppe Seekles, People's Health Alliance, representatives from Positively Empowered Kids and Shaun Glossop from Mindfulness Group. This event was part of the Feast of the Soul.

Watch the video of the session:

Practical actions are needed to really take the role of compassion in action within our communities further.

To realise that each individual member contributes to the whole as a collective, and how together they make a difference.

In this panel discussion, open to all Feast participants, we aim to explore;

  • Why communities are so important.

  • Some of the benefits of being part of a community.

  • Online community versus in person community.

  • What it takes to create a compassionate community.

We wish to invite people who have created their own communities whether online or in person to join our panel, to take part in this discussion—to briefly share their experiences to inspire others to gather and forge compassionate communities in their locality.
