When: February 28 @ 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM Pacific Time
The Charter for Compassion is excited to announce the launch of its Compassionate Cities Ambassador Program on February 28 at 11:00 AM Pacific Time. This initiative is designed to strengthen the bridge between grassroots compassion teams and local government leaders, including mayors, city managers, council members, and municipal departments.
Compassion Ambassadors will act as vital liaisons, fostering collaboration and understanding between community-driven compassion initiatives and local governments. Their roles will include:
- Deepening Community Engagement: Ensuring grassroots teams have a voice in shaping local initiatives.
- Advocating for Community Concerns: Promoting the issues and goals of compassion teams to political leaders.
- Informing Public Policy: Helping align local policies with the principles of compassion and equity.
- Enhancing Collaboration: Building on the successes of shared efforts between citizens and governments.
This innovative program was created by Compassionate Sacramento, who are now generously gifting it to the Charter for Compassion’s global network of community initiatives. As part of the program launch, members of Compassionate Sacramento will:
- Present their own case study, detailing how the program has strengthened civic engagement in their city.
- Facilitate interactive discussions with webinar participants on adapting the model to meet their local needs.
We invite all community leaders, grassroots organizers, and members of local governments to join us for this special webinar. Learn how you can bring the Compassionate Cities Ambassador Program to your community and help build stronger, more compassionate cities worldwide.
Together, let’s create meaningful connections and champion the principles of compassion at every level of society. Save the date and be part of this transformative movement!
