Join us live on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday with Pato Banton & Antoinette Rootsdawtah
The music video above is created by Pato Banton & Antoinette Rootsdawtah, thank you so much for your brilliant contributions to the 2025 Dr. King Legacy!
Dr. King would be 96 years old and so we continue shining light on his legacy and ongoing beautiful work for civil justice and making a Beloved Community. This will be Dr. King‘s birthday celebration hosted by Pato Banton and Antoinette. Sommer Joy Ramer and Jon Ramer, Co-Founders of Compassion Games will be welcoming all into the space. We will gather live hearing stories and music made to celebrate and tune into the wisdom we all need, to Stand Up For Justice, UBUNTU, and Dr King through the epic legends Antoinette & Pato. They’re planning to talk about the film that they’ve done the spirit of Ubuntu I am Because We Are. We are planning to have a number of the videos that Pato has made honoring Dr. King.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision of the World House and the Beloved Community aligns seamlessly with the philosophy of Ubuntu, which emphasizes interdependence, mutual respect, and the recognition that our humanity is interconnected. Dr. King spoke of a global society in which people of all backgrounds live together in peace, justice, and harmony—a vision rooted in shared compassion and collective responsibility.
Ubuntu, often summarized as “I am because we are,” reflects this same ideal: that our individual well-being is tied to the well-being of others, and that true progress arises from cooperation and understanding. By weaving these principles together, we can amplify the shared call for a world where justice prevails, love unites, and humanity thrives in solidarity.
