Death, sorrow, bloodshed,
fighting for a cause,
terrorism, oil, freedom,
not knowing right or wrong
Our hands dirty with the taste of blood,
being used as pawns
voices of the people
never being heard
Lies after lies
to cover up the truth
eyes blinded
seeing signs that say
“Support our Troops”
my heart supporting
but not showing
my support for soldiers,
but not for war
