Lyrics, music and performance by Michael Valeri
Jeff Beheshti, a native Iranian and peace activist, undertook a hungerstike on the North Seattle Community College Campus. His goal is to alert others of the fight for democracy and freedom from violation of human rights in Iran. Growing up in Iran, he experienced life under the regime and empathizes with the Iranian people.

Another exposed case of vote conspiracy
Iran cried out for change but Mahmoud won’t let them speak
Well their voices must be heard
They’re shouting in the streets!
Fear gives way to strength
A calling for peace!
One man! One heart! One sacrifice!
He’ll open up your eyes
One voice! One dream! One fight for right!
Beheshti changed the world
Democracy’s at stake but no ones listening
The world sits by and waits, the human rights they violate
The fires flame, innocent slain
But they can’t stop the youth!
The death tolls rise, government lies
The power of truth!
One man! One heart! One sacrifice!
He’ll open up your eyes
One voice! One dream! One fight for right!
Beheshti changed the world
Their voices aren’t being heard
They’re dying in the streets!
Their fight is our fight
Rise up and be free!
One man! One heart! One sacrifice!
He’ll open up your eyes
One voice! One dream! One fight for right!
Beheshti…Beheshti…
Change the world! Change the world! Change the world! Change the world!
Rise up, be free, fight for democracy
They can’t hide the executions, a call for revolution
Oppression, aggression, and all the forced confessions
Beheshti strikes alone, but we unite for peace
