Writer, poet, studio artist, painter, photographer, workshop leader, Impressario, script writer, filmmaker.
She writes and creates art with written word, images and spoken word and stories. Art jazzes her and writing is her passion. Barbara's body of work as a feature writer, contributing editor, experienced blogger, spoken word and visual artist/ illustrator, public speaker and storyteller is featured at Voices Education Project, One Wordsmith, Huffington Post, Inner Michael and in newspapers, magazines and feature columns.
Her artwork can be found on book covers, posters, programs, in films and hanging in personal homes.

Educator and Program Manager
Former statewide training specialist, program manager and director, workshop leader. Trained in healing and holistic medicine combining East and West,-- modern medicine and ancient healing. Credentialed energy and alternative therapy practitioner and spiritual adviser/minister trained at seminary, and apprenticed for 7 years as a shaman.
Activist, peacemaker and citizen diplomat: Degree and experience in Management, and more than a decade as the Executive Officer, grant and copy writer and program developer for Sister Cities Programs, her awarded grant built the social infrastructure for construction of the first chemical weapons decommissioning facility in Russia as a cooperative effort between Russia and the U.S. sister cities. (Cooperative Threat Reduction Start II treaty)
She mentored Los Alamos, Minneapolis and other cities in their grant writing and program development resulting in multiple partnerships.
Program Founder/Developer
Founder: Job Club for the unemployed and underemployed. She wrote the manual, provided the education, and managed the program. Securing a grant, she made it portable and also took it to incarcerated offenders.
Impressario
Producer, director, casting, scriptwriter, stage manager and mistress of ceremonies: Annual Harmony Peace Concert fund raiser, Lawrence University, Appleton.
Writer/Artist
Exectutive writer and contributing Editor for Voices Education Project, a global humanitarian and peacemaking organization and pedagogical institute. Scope: 140 countries; 40,000 visitors per week.
Barbara loves: story; art; music; drums and percussion; performance arts; singing; writing; literature; Improv Theater; learning; planning, producing and stage managing travelling and animals-- not necessarily in that order.
