Social Justice

The Charter for Compassion’s commitment to justice and integrity is embodied through the work of our Social Justice Partners. These organizations span continents, cultures, and sectors, but they share a common dedication: advancing human dignity, equity, and the protection of rights through compassionate action.

Our partners address a wide range of issues, including racial and gender equity, immigrant and refugee rights, interfaith and intercultural understanding, climate justice, anti-trafficking efforts, LGBTQ+ inclusion, prison reform, peacebuilding, and community healing. Some work locally—transforming schools, neighborhoods, and city councils—while others operate globally, shaping policy and building international movements.

This coalition is diverse by design. It includes grassroots initiatives like A Red Circle in Missouri and Sambhali Trust in Rajasthan, as well as international campaigns such as Action for Sustainable Development Nepal and LGBT Voice Tanzania. Arts-based organizations like Music in Common and 108 Productions use creativity to spark dialogue and bridge divides. Faith-rooted partners like Placer People of Faith Together and the Centre for Interreligious Dialogue (Ireland) build solidarity across traditions. Advocacy networks such as the Dallas Peace & Justice Center, Bridge Alliance, and Global Compassion Coalition amplify voices for systemic change.

By working with such a wide constellation of partners—from Pakistan to Peru, from Atlanta to Auckland—the Charter affirms that justice requires both courage and collaboration. Together, these organizations show that social justice is not only about dismantling systems of oppression but also about imagining and building more inclusive, compassionate alternatives.
