As the Charter’s Global Youth Strategist, I am delighted to share this special youth newsletter featuring updates, opportunities, and stories from across our global community of young changemakers.
Over the past six months, our youth community has continued to grow in meaningful ways through advocacy, education, dialogue, and compassionate action. From participating in international forums and leading local initiatives to facilitating conversations on justice, peace, and wellbeing, young people across our network continue to demonstrate the transformative power of compassion in action.
As our global community continues to expand, so does the need for spaces where young people can come together to learn from one another, deepen their understanding of today's challenges, and strengthen their capacity for collective action. Creating opportunities for connection, collaboration, and shared learning remains central to our vision for youth engagement at the Charter for Compassion. At the heart of this is our annual Charter for Compassion Global Youth Conference taking place virtually on September 23-24 2026. Centered on the theme Radical Compassion in Action for Justice, this year’s conference reclaims the word radical in its truest sense, derived from the Latin radix, meaning “root.” It invites participants to move beyond surface-level responses and address the root causes of injustice with integrity and compassion.
The Charter for Compassion Global Youth Conference 2024: Youth for Compassionate Advocacy & Actions and Global Youth Conference 2025: Compassionate Leadership for Action & Impact were a remarkable display of youth power, unity, and advocacy, collectively bringing together over 1200 registered participants from across the world. Building on that momentum, this year’s conference will continue to amplify the voices and visions of youth who are advocating for change and actively shaping more just, inclusive, and compassionate futures.
We are continually inspired by the passion, creativity, and commitment of young people across our network, and we remain committed to creating opportunities for youth voices to be heard, valued, and amplified. Whether you are leading initiatives in your community, exploring new ideas, or looking for ways to get involved, your experiences and perspectives are an important part of this growing global movement. We want to hear from you.
Submit a proposal to lead a session at the Charter for Compassion Global Youth Conference 2026 and co-create this movement with us.
As you continue through this newsletter, we hope you will discover new opportunities to learn, connect, and take action alongside young changemakers from around the world.
With gratitude,
Anum Mulla

Building New Cycles of Peace - Webinar in Collaboration with Global Taskforce for Youth Combatants
In February, the CFC Global Youth Network hosted a powerful webinar, "Building New Cycles of Peace: Centering Former Combatants as Agents of Peace," in collaboration with the Global Taskforce for Youth Combatants. The dialogue explored the realities of reintegration faced by former youth combatants and highlighted the important role young people can play as agents of peace.

Spirit of Humanity Forum and the Wellbeing Economy Forum
In April 2026, the Charter for Compassion was honored to have youth representation at the Spirit of Humanity Forum and the Wellbeing Economy Forum in Reykjavik, Iceland.
These forums provided valuable opportunities to strengthen relationships, engage in dialogue around systems transformation and collective wellbeing, and expand the Charter’s youth presence within international conversations centered on compassion, human-centered leadership, social healing, and regenerative futures.
The Spirit of Humanity Forum was particularly impactful due to its immersive format and emphasis on reflection, dialogue, and authentic relationship building. Participants engaged not only intellectually, but also personally, exploring the inner dimensions of leadership, responsibility, and systems change while cultivating meaningful connections across sectors and cultures.
The Wellbeing Economy Forum complemented this experience through a more policy-oriented lens, bringing together leaders, economists, advocates, and decision makers focused on redefining success beyond GDP toward wellbeing, equity, sustainability, and long-term flourishing.
These forums reflected a growing global shift toward more compassionate, human-centered, and future-oriented approaches to leadership, governance, and systems change.
The Gaza Education Tent
The Charter for Compassion is honored to have partnered with the Gaza Education Tent, a grassroots educational initiative founded by Ruwaida Kamal Amer in the Khan Younis refugee camp in Gaza.
The Gaza Education Tent was created in response to the genocide in Palestine and the devastating destruction of educational infrastructure, displacement, and trauma experienced by children in Gaza. The initiative provides educational support, psychosocial care, creative activities, and safe learning spaces for children whose schooling and daily lives have been severely disrupted.
Through this partnership, the Charter continues to affirm the importance of education, dignity, healing, and compassionate solidarity in communities facing profound crisis and displacement.
The collaboration also reflects the Charter’s broader commitment to supporting grassroots, community-led initiatives that center on human dignity, hope, and the well-being of children and families impacted by genocide, violence, injustice, and instability.
