Gaza Campaign

Week Three

"Before you know what kindness really is
you must lose things,
feel the future dissolve in a moment
like salt in a weakened broth.

Then it is only kindness that makes sense anymore,
only kindness that ties your shoes
and sends you out into the day
to mail letters and purchase bread."

~ Naomi Shihab Nye

"I shall not despair.
To the last pulse in my veins
I shall resist."

~ Fadwa Tuqan

"Against barbarity, poetry can resist only by confirming its attachment to human fragility, like a blade of grass growing on a wall while armies march by.”

~ Mahmoud Darwish, Palestinian poet

Compassion Action for Gaza – Friday Reflection

Hope can seem fragile in the face of suffering, yet it is often in the smallest acts of solidarity that hope is reborn. This week, let us carry Gaza in our hearts through compassion in action:

  • Gather & Learn: Watch a film about Gaza with friends or family, and let it open conversation about humanity and resilience.

  • Amplify Voices: Choose one organization working in Gaza and share their work with your networks. Even a single post can extend their reach.

  • Raise Your Voice: Write to your head of state or make a phone call to urge for humanitarian aid and pathways to peace.

  • Practice Solidarity: Give up a small treat you enjoy for a few days and redirect those savings to the Feed Gaza campaign.

  • Return to Roots: Revisit the action steps from earlier weeks. Sometimes repetition deepens our practice and strengthens the collective impact.

Every step—no matter how modest—connects us to the larger movement of compassion and hope. Together, we can weave resilience from despair, and create a chorus of care for Gaza.
