Organizations Within Palestine, Israel, and Jerusalem

1. Neve Shalom / Wahat al-Salam (Oasis of Peace)

A cooperative village in Israel jointly founded by Jewish and Palestinian Arab citizens. It is dedicated to dialogue, equality, and mutual understanding. The village runs a bilingual primary school, School for Peace (facilitating Jewish-Arab dialogue), and youth encounter programs.

Focus: Coexistence, education, peace training

 

2. The Parents Circle – Families Forum

A joint Israeli-Palestinian organization of over 600 families who have lost loved ones in the conflict. They promote reconciliation through personal storytelling, dialogue sessions, educational workshops, and public speaking across communities.

Focus: Bereavement dialogue, reconciliation, cross-border understanding

 

3. Combatants for Peace

Formed by former Israeli soldiers and Palestinian fighters who renounced violence and now work together for peace and nonviolent resistance to the occupation. They organize joint memorial ceremonies, educational tours, and advocacy work.

Focus: Nonviolence, reconciliation, activism

 

4. Standing Together (Omdim Beyachad / Naqef Ma'an)

A grassroots movement in Israel that unites Jews and Palestinians to fight for peace, justice, and equality. They lead protests, policy campaigns, and community organizing around shared interests like housing, healthcare, and ending the occupation.

Focus: Political and grassroots organizing

 

5. Taghyeer (Palestinian National Nonviolence Movement)

A growing grassroots initiative in Palestine working to promote nonviolent resistance and community empowerment in response to the occupation and systemic injustice.

Focus: Nonviolence, community organizing, youth leadership

 

 

International Organizations Supporting Peace, Justice, and Palestinian Rights

6. JVP (Jewish Voice for Peace)

A U.S.-based organization with a global network of Jewish activists advocating for an end to the occupation and equality for Palestinians. They run educational campaigns, lobbying efforts, and solidarity actions.

Focus: Political advocacy, diaspora solidarity, Jewish-Palestinian alliances

 

7. Friends of Sabeel North America (FOSNA)

A Christian ecumenical organization supporting Palestinian liberation theology and peaceful resistance. Offers educational resources and organizes interfaith solidarity tours and conferences.

Focus: Christian–Palestinian solidarity, liberation theology, advocacy

 

8. AFSC – American Friends Service Committee

Quaker organization long engaged in humanitarian and advocacy work for Palestinian rights. They support nonviolence and work toward ending U.S. military aid to Israel.

9. The Freedom Theatre (Jenin, Palestine)

A cultural and community space in Jenin Refugee Camp promoting creative resistance through theater, arts, and storytelling. It empowers Palestinian youth to imagine new futures.

10. Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP)

A coalition of Christian denominations and organizations in the U.S. working to influence U.S. policy toward a just resolution to the Israeli–Palestinian conflict.
