Humanism and Values in the Age of Artificial Intelligence
As artificial intelligence rapidly transforms nearly every aspect of our lives, one question becomes increasingly important:
What does it mean to remain deeply human?
The Charter for Compassion is pleased to once again partner with Encuentro Mundial de Valores (EMV), one of Latin America's premier international gatherings dedicated to strengthening human values, ethical leadership, and compassionate action.
Taking place October 3–4, 2026, in Monterrey, Mexico, this year's Encuentro explores the timely theme:
Humanism and Values in the Age of Artificial Intelligence
For more than fifteen years, EMV has brought together educators, scientists, civic leaders, artists, business innovators, spiritual leaders, and young people from around the world to explore the values needed to build more compassionate and resilient societies.
Through keynote presentations, interactive dialogues, workshops, and cultural experiences, participants will examine how technological innovation can remain grounded in ethics, human dignity, peacebuilding, education, environmental responsibility, social justice, and our shared humanity.
For the Charter for Compassion, this conversation could not be more timely.
Artificial intelligence is changing how we learn, communicate, govern, create, and connect. Yet technology alone cannot determine the future we build. That responsibility remains profoundly human.
As the Charter increasingly speaks of compassion not only as a feeling but as a civic practice, we believe conversations such as these are essential. Human values must guide technological innovation, ensuring that intelligence is always accompanied by wisdom, empathy, and responsibility.
We invite our global community to join us in Monterrey as we continue exploring how compassion, ethical leadership, and our common humanity can shape a future worthy of the next generation.
