Mindfulness has its origins in Eastern contemplative practices however has evolved into an approach that is now recognised as being of benefit within a wide range of health and education settings and within the community generally.
Mindfulness involves being aware of and accepting the full experience of life as it unfolds, involving all our senses, thoughts and emotions. Heartfulness is an essential component which, when combined with mindfulness, brings the vital element of a kind and gentle attitude toward oneself and others.

I embraced mindfulness 15 years ago when dealing with difficulties in my personal life. Since then I have seen the benefits this approach can have within counselling and group programs.
My background in nursing and counselling led to my particular interest in working with those facing the emotional challenges associated with cancer and chronic health issues.
I am now exploring how Mindfulness can be taught in different settings, adapting to the needs of particular groups or the individual.

Practicing Mindfulness gave me the space to come up for air, in a time in my life that felt like I was drowning. Years on I am now an experienced and passionate Mindfulness and Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher, having facilitated programs within the Education System, Cancer Support, Women's Health and the general community.
I have a sound knowledge of health and education stemming from years of experience working with diverse populations in the roles of Kinesiologist, Health Care Worker, Rehabilitation Counsellor, Health Educator and Paramedic.
More recently, the extensive work I have done within the area of Mindful Self-Compassion has allowed my life and passion to truly blossom. I am energised about the wonderful blessings of teaching MSC and MSC teaching me.
