Heart Tree Arts Play Therapy and Expressive Arts Center (Richmond, VA, USA)

We believe that when one is heard, and through that process began to heal and grow, they are in turn able to see the humanity in self and others. Through this healing process of relationship, art making that we peace arrives within and between the people we serve, and through their compassion, the world.

Heart Tree Arts Play Therapy and Expressive Arts Center

Natalie Rogers, the daughter of Carl Rogers, and a brilliant clinician in her own right, said, "Part of the psychotherapeutic process is to awaken the creative life-force energy. Thus, creativity and therapy overlap. What is creative is frequently therapeutic. What is therapeutic is frequently a creative process." This is the foundation for our work at Heart Tree Arts. To put it simply, we help our clients remember the parts of themselves that can bring new life and energy to the present moment.
