The Charter for Compassion (CFC), an international organisation facilitating more than 400 city and community initiatives in 54 countries, has announced Nisha Mullatti, global account director & APAC sales at MCI, as the ‘Charter of Compassion Champion’ for Singapore.

As chair of the Singapore chapter, Mullatti will work towards making Singapore a ‘compassionate city’ by driving initiatives and promoting dialogue across multi-sector partners (government, corporates, and communities).

A devoted mindfulness practitioner and supporter of social enterprise, Mullatti says she hopes to leverage this opportunity to further contribute to MCI’s sustainability initiatives as well as Singapore’s efforts in achieving UN’s Sustainability Development Goals.

“Having been recognised by CFC to chair this volunteer initiative in Singapore, I feel extremely humbled to be in the company of some very inspiring path breakers,” she says.

Charter for Compassion’s executive director, Marilyn Turkovich says that with Nisha Mullatti as the Charter’s face, there is “no doubt that Singapore will be ranked amongst top ‘compassionate cities’ in the world sooner [rather] than later”.

She added: “The Compassion Charter works on developing community workshops, dialogues, events and programmes supported by governments and corporates. Compassion should be practiced for self, others and the planet, and Mullatti has exemplified this through her self-driven initiatives and commitment for Sustainable Development Goals both at MCI and beyond.”
