Community Transformation Institute

The Compassionate Community Transformation Institute (CCTI) is committed to equipping individuals and communities with the knowledge, skills, and inspiration to turn compassion into transformative action. Our work unfolds through three primary offerings:

  • Courses — delivered in person, online, or through hybrid models — that provide structured learning on compassion-centered leadership, community building, and organizational transformation.

  • Essays and reflections published on Substack that share insights from the Institute’s work and highlight both global and local perspectives on creating compassionate change.

  • A bi-weekly podcast series that explores how transformation takes place at the grassroots level, especially when community teams collaborate with local government, schools, and civic organizations.

At the heart of CCTI is the conviction that compassion is never abstract. Every course, post, and podcast connects theory to practice, pairing global insights with local stories of transformation — from food justice initiatives in Mexico, to youth-led racial healing circles in Canada, to Compassion Cafés in the United States.

Through storytelling, dialogue, and education, we spotlight Compassion Transformers: ordinary people and intergenerational teams who are bridging divides, responding to trauma, and building systems rooted in dignity and justice. By lifting up these grassroots actions and offering accessible pathways for learning, the Institute equips participants to spark compassionate change in their own communities.
