Course Overview
Embodied Presence is a self-paced online video course that offers an orientation to Eckhart Tolle’s timeless teachings, presented in a way that is both accessible and practical for modern life. The course invites you to step into the power of presence—learning to live from a place of awareness, compassion, and deep inner strength. You can engage with the material individually or in small groups, making it ideal for personal growth, community circles, or study gatherings.

The program is designed as an eight-module journey, and while you are free to move at your own pace, we recommend completing one module each week. This gradual approach allows for reflection and integration, helping you apply the concepts in everyday situations. Alongside core teachings, the course includes video dialogues between Eckhart and young adults, where pressing questions are explored about technology and social media, coping with uncertainty, navigating family and friendship challenges, and more.

By nurturing presence in yourself, you contribute to what Eckhart calls a new earth—a more compassionate and conscious world.

 

Course Modules

Module 1: Introduction to Presence
The course opens with an introduction to Eckhart’s core teachings and the essence of presence. You’ll learn to distinguish between the busy mind and the stillness of awareness that exists beneath thought. Eckhart offers practical guidance on becoming more aware of this deeper dimension in everyday moments, showing how simple shifts in attention can transform your state of being.

Module 2: The Power of Now in Everyday Life
This module explores the life-changing insight that peace and fulfillment are always available in the present moment. Eckhart demonstrates how compulsive thinking often creates stress and unhappiness, and how practicing presence can dissolve these patterns. You’ll be encouraged to integrate short “mindful pauses” into daily activities, learning to come back to the Now even in the midst of busyness.

Module 3: The Body as an Anchor for Presence
Here, you’ll discover the body as a gateway to inner stillness. Eckhart explains how sensing the “inner body”—the aliveness within—grounds us in awareness and helps us break free from mental distractions. This module includes guided practices for tuning into bodily sensations and using them as an anchor when the mind is restless.

Module 4: Working with the Pain-Body
Eckhart introduces the concept of the “pain-body,” the accumulated emotional pain that can dominate our reactions and relationships. You’ll learn how to recognize when the pain-body is activated, and how to meet it with awareness rather than resistance. Through this process, the pain-body begins to dissolve, bringing more peace and freedom into your life.

Module 5: Presence in Relationships
In this module, Eckhart explores how presence can transform our relationships. By practicing awareness in conversations and interactions, you’ll learn to move beyond judgment and cultivate deeper compassion and understanding. Practical guidance and optional group exercises show how mindful dialogue and listening can bring harmony to family, friendships, and workplace connections.

Module 6: Conscious Use of Technology & Social Media
Drawing from his conversations with young adults, Eckhart examines the challenges and opportunities of living in a digital world. You’ll learn how to approach technology and social media with awareness—avoiding compulsive use and finding balance between online activity and inner stillness. Practical tips are offered for creating healthier digital habits that support rather than undermine your well-being.

Module 7: Navigating Uncertainty and Anxiety
Life is filled with uncertainty, and this module teaches how presence can help you approach it with openness instead of fear. Eckhart shares practices for resting in the stillness that exists beneath anxious thoughts, allowing you to cultivate resilience in times of change or difficulty. By shifting your relationship with uncertainty, you learn to find peace and strength even when life feels unpredictable.

Module 8: Embodying Presence and Building a New Earth
The final module brings together the teachings of the course, guiding you in how to embody presence more fully in daily life. Eckhart emphasizes how each person’s shift in consciousness contributes to the collective evolution of humanity. This module offers a vision of what it means to live in alignment with presence and compassion, helping to bring forth “a new earth.” You’ll be invited to reflect on your own journey and consider how you can extend this awareness into your community and the world.
