Homeless Coalition of St Johns County Building Better Futures for Homeless Families
Ending family homelessness in St. Johns County by stabilizing vulnerable families in safe & decent homes, then providing supportive services needed to help them gain self-sufficiency.
We Stabilize Extremely Low-Income Families Facing a Housing Crisis
By providing safe & decent homes to help relieve them of the emotional and mental pressures of day-to-day struggles that can sap the will to better their lives.
We Confront Generational Poverty & Inspire Self-Sufficiency
By providing supportive services focused on helping parents attain resiliency and economic mobility that will allow them to move forward into affordable, sustainable, and permanent housing.
The ESHC housing campus has 20 single family homes available for homeless families with minor children living in the household.
The 5 acre campus located in West Augustine includes a children learning center, computer room, laundry facility, food pantry, playground, and storage facilities for donated items.
ESHC relies on the goodwill of volunteers from local organizations and the faith-based community to help with landscaping, home cleaning and maintenance.
All the furniture, household items, toys in our homes are donated from the community. This generosity is essential to our program since most of our homeless families come to ESHC with just the clothes they’re wearing.
Many times, organizations will adopt a house as their own, providing the materials and resources to create a warm, safe and secure environment for our homeless families.
