Las Vegas, often known simply as Vegas, is the 25th-most populous city in the United States, the most populous city in the state of Nevada, and the county seat of Clark County. The Las Vegas Valley metropolitan area is the largest within the greater Mojave Desert, and 2nd-largest in the Southwestern United States.

With a population of almost 3,000,000, the demographic breakdown includes:

Racial Composition:

White: 46%,
Non-Hispanic White: 40.4%,
African American: 12.9%,
Hispanic/Latino: 33.3%,
and Asian: 7.2%.

The age population breakdown is:

Under the age of 18 is 25.9%,
between 18-24 is 8.8%,
25-44 is 32%,
45-64 iz 21.7%,
and 11.6% are 65 and older.
