Conferences are one of the most powerful ways we come together to listen deeply, learn from lived experience, and strengthen our collective capacity for compassionate action. Within the Compassion Transformation Institute, conferences are not simply events; they are intentional spaces for dialogue, shared learning, and collaboration—where relationships are formed, ideas are tested, and compassion is translated into practice.
In the spirit of Charter 2.0, the Charter for Compassion views convening as a form of capacity-building. By bringing together people across cultures, generations, disciplines, and sectors, our conferences help break down silos, amplify emerging voices, and model the kind of compassionate collaboration required to address complex global challenges.
Over the past year, the Charter has designed and implemented two annual virtual conferences that will continue in the years ahead.
One of these reflects a core commitment of the Charter: turning over our platform to global youth. The annual Global Youth Conference creates space for young people from around the world to share the compassionate initiatives they are leading locally, nationally, and internationally. In 2026, the Charter will host its third annual Global Youth Conference, continuing to center youth as co-creators and leaders whose vision, creativity, and moral courage are essential to building a compassionate future.
In 2026, the Charter will also convene the second annual Compassionate Action Conference, offering an opportunity for Charter compassionate communities, partners, and members to share their work, learn from one another, and explore practical approaches to compassion in action across education, health, justice, the arts, spirituality, and civic life. This gathering strengthens the global Charter network by making visible what is working and encouraging collaboration across regions and sectors.
In addition to hosting its own conferences, the Charter for Compassion is an active participant in—and co-sponsor of—international gatherings aligned with its mission. These include long-standing engagement with the Parliament of the World's Religions, the Encuentro Mundial de Valores, contributions to the Permanent Secretariat of the Nobel Peace Laureate Summit, and collaboration with Actionable Innovations Global—a convening focused on turning values and ideas into practical, scalable solutions for today’s most pressing challenges.
Together, these conferences and partnerships reflect the Charter’s belief that we are stronger when we learn together. Convenings help build trust, renew hope, and connect people who are working—often in isolation—toward shared goals of peace, justice, and human dignity.
